Line 156 was realigned December 17, 2006 to Vineland Ave. between North Hollywood and Universal City Stations, replacing Line 152. Owl service was simultaneously renumbered Line 656 (without change in route).
Line 656 owl service cutback in Hollywood on June 24, 2007; a timed transfer was created with the more frequent Line 4 service to Downtown L.A. via Santa Monica Blvd.
The Hollywood Way - Barham Blvd. portion of Line 163 was split June 29, 2008 into new Line 222. (This was based upon a previous six-month experiment in 2005, during which Line 163 was operated in the same separated manner.)
Midday service on Line 237 was proposed to be eliminated in the June, 2008 service change program, but a modified proposal was approved to continue all-day service by eliminating the Victory Blvd. and Van Nuys Blvd. route segments. (This was not implemented because the Metro Board of Directors halted all changes in that program other than implementation of Metro Rapid service.)
