(Burbank Blvd. - Woodley Ave. - Hollywood Way)
(including new Lines 222 and 656)

Line 156 Changes, December 2006

Public Hearing CommentsLine 656 owl service cutback in Hollywood on June 24, 2007; a timed transfer was created with the more frequent Line 4 service to Downtown L.A. via Santa Monica Blvd.

Line 656 Changes, June 2007

Public Hearing CommentsThe Hollywood Way - Barham Blvd. portion of Line 163 was split June 29, 2008 into new Line 222.

Line 163-222 proposal

Public Hearing CommentsMidday service on Line 237 was proposed to be eliminated in the June, 2008 service change program, but a modified proposal was approved to continue all-day service by eliminating the Victory Blvd. and Van Nuys Blvd. route segments. (This was not implemented pending further refinements.)

Line 237 proposal

Several concepts have been under consideration for Line 156 in conjunction with other lines. Still under consideration is a shortening of Line 156 at North Hollywood Station and an extension to Granada Hills as a replacement for Line 237. The remaining portion of Line 156 between North Hollywood Station and Hollywood would then be combined with a portion of Line 163 between Bob Hope Airport and Hollywood/Vine Station into a new loop route, with Line 163 realigned to terminate at Bob Hope Airport.
