Lines 96-183
(Riverside Dr. - Magnolia Blvd.)

Public Hearing CommentsWeekend service to Glendale (shown as red line on map) was canceled June 24, 2007. The original proposal included a continuation of service between downtown Burbank and Alameda Ave., then via San Fernando Rd. to new east terminal at Burbank Metrolink (shown as blue line on map); as approved, weekend service uses the shortline terminal in downtown Burbank (shown as dashed blue line on second map). This was essentially a reconsideration of the 2005 proposal to eliminate service in Glendale which duplicates Beeline and other Metro lines.

Line 183 Changes, June 2007

Public Hearing CommentsIt was proposed in the June, 2008 service change program that this segment be eliminated on weekdays as well; that proposal was withdrawn by staff after further review of passenger impacts.

Line 183 Proposal, June 2008

The original concept, to combine Lines 96 and 183 between Burbank and Sherman Oaks into a new loop route (Line 96 would then operate only between downtown Los Angeles and Burbank Metrolink Station) remains under discussion.
