Line 85 (Eagle Rock Blvd.- Verdugo Rd.)
A proposal was made in August, 2004 by Metro San Gabriel Valley to replace Line 85 with a Line 685 shuttle on Verdugo Rd. between Eagle Rock Blvd. and Broadway, with an eastern extension to also replace the Line 181 branch of Line 180. The proposal was withdrawn after the public hearing, and Metro San Fernando Valley staff opposed the proposal due to the lack of a direct Glendale Beeline connection to Glendale College.
The Line 685 proposal was subsequently modified to operate the entire length of Verdugo Rd. between Glendale College and Eagle Rock Blvd., then via Eagle Rock Blvd. to Verdugo Rd./San Fernando Rd. in order to maintain connections with Lines 90-91 and 94-394. (Implemented December 17, 2006.)
