DASH Van Nuys / Studio City
Because DASH Van Nuys/Studio City is a very low-performing route at its eastern end, the study proposed its replacement by three routes. Two, Studio City/North Hollywood and Van Nuys/Kester (shown below), are modified versions of the originally proposed Van Nuys and Studio City routes. The third, Van Nuys/Whitsett, is a new line created from those portions of the Van Nuys/Studio City route that were not covered by the other two replacements. As this is a restructuring of existing service, it was listed outside the ranking process, but its implementation is likely because Van Nuys/Whitsett was ranked first among all the proposed new routes, both city-wide and in the Valley.
