DASH Warner Center - Alternative 2
DASH Warner Center was treated as a special case, because even though it had been a poor performer since its inception, it was a weekday midday service only (unlike the standard Community DASH service span of 7 am until 7 pm weekdays plus weekend service), using Commuter Express Line 575 (Simi Valley to Warner Center) vehicles which would otherwise simply be laying over awaiting early evening return trips to Simi Valley. The study took into account the commencement of Metro Orange Line busway service -- connecting Warner Center to North Hollywood Red Line station -- which had the potential to create an effective demand for DASH service within and around Warner Center as a local circulator for Orange Line riders to complete their trips to or from Warner Center Transit Center. The study called for a restructuring of Commuter Express Line 575 to establish standard Community DASH service for Warner Center, coinciding with the opening of the Orange Line; this was implemented October 30, 2005. This proposal ranked #18 among all the proposed DASH routes and #6 among proposed San Fernando Valley routes.

The line was broken into two modified one-way loops when implemented. The timetable map shows DASH Warner Center North (in purple, operating a clockwise loop), and DASH Warner Center South (in green, operating a counter-clockwise loop). The dashed blue line shows Commuter Express Line 575's route and the thin orange shadowed line shows the Metro Orange Line's route when it began operation in 2005 (it now continues on the busway to a station opposite Boeing and then via Canoga Ave.).
