Line 418 (Roscoe Blvd. - Laurel Canyon Blvd. Limited)
Original proposal was to cancel Line 418 and Line 426 and reallocate resources to new Study Line S-1. After public hearing, staff withdrew proposal and submitted a replacement proposal: Renumbered Line 353; realigned via Lankershim Blvd. from Laurel Canyon Blvd. Subsequently extended to Woodland Hills (on June 24, 2007) as part of Metro Connections.
Public Comment and (Staff Response):
- Retain existing limited stop service on Lines 418 and 426 instead of implementing new services (new proposal submitted; recommend rerouting the Laurel Canyon Blvd. segment of Line 418 to Lankershim Blvd. to provide a limited stop alternative to Line 166, which experiences a high volume of passenger activity at the major cross streets)
- Transfers and travel time would be increased if service were eliminated; do not want to ride slower local services during peak hours (see above response)
