Study Line S-1 (Reseda Blvd. - Orange Line Busway - Sepulveda Blvd. - Westwood)
New limited-stop/express line proposed to operate between Northridge and Westwood during weekday peak hours only. Proposed to operate via Reseda Blvd. from Devonshire St. then via the Orange Line busway between the Reseda and Sepulveda Stations, continuing via Sepulveda Blvd. and Line 761 route to UCLA terminating at Westwood Federal Building. Withdrawn by staff after public hearing.
Public Comment and (Staff Response):
- Keep existing limited stop service on Lines 418 and 426 instead of implementing new services (proposal withdrawn)
- Opposed to the reallocation of trips on Line 240 and Line 761 to support new S-1 because of reduction in existing service (see above response)
- Line 426 should be retained since it has higher ridership than Line 418 (see above response)
