Line 420 (Van Nuys Blvd. - Burbank Blvd. - Hollywood)
MOS-2B: Extended on Santa Monica Blvd. to Vermont-Santa Monica Station; an express segment between the new terminal and downtown Los Angeles was added after the public hearing, operating owl hours only. Part of the proposal, to renumber Line 420 as Line 156, was deferred to MOS-3.
MOS-3: Renumbered to Line 156 and realigned via North Hollywood Station. (Actually, this was a return to Line 420's original alignment; the route had been on a "temporary detour" since December, 1997 while the station was under construction.)
The map shows routing via the "flyover" bridge over the Ventura Freeway between Ventura Blvd. and Universal City Station which opened June 10, 2002; that routing was not implemented.
Line 156 was cutback to operate between Burbank Blvd./Van Nuys Blvd. and Highland Ave./Santa Monica Blvd. October 30, 2005. Owl service was renumbered Line 656 December 17, 2006 and was cutback to Highland Ave./Santa Monica Blvd. June 24, 2007.
