Line 166 (Nordhoff St. - Osborne St.)

Proposed extension to Universal City via Glenoaks Blvd. - Sheldon St. - San Fernando Rd. - Lankershim Blvd. (replacing Line 228) and to Chatsworth Metrolink Station via Plummer St. - Topanga Canyon Blvd - Devonshire St. Implemented December 10, 1995 via Tuxford St. instead of Sheldon St. (due to safety issues crossing railroad tracks at Sheldon St./San Fernando Rd. discovered during operator training trips) and via Owensmouth St. instead of Canoga Ave. (using former Line 545 routing).

• Originally proposed to connect in Sun Valley via San Fernando Rd.
• Originally proposed to operate to Warner Center via Topanga Canyon Blvd.

• Replaced on Lankershim Blvd. by Line 224 -- also incorporating Line 94 between Sylmar and Sun Valley -- as part of Metro Connections December 17, 2006.
• Metro Rapid Line 724 -- operating on the Line 224 alignment between Sylmar/San Fernando Metrolink Station and North Hollywood Red Line Station -- was implemented June 30, 2008.
