Line 177 (Glendale - Pasadena - Arcadia - Monrovia - Duarte)

Proposed to be broken into three separate lines:
  1. Service between Glendale and Jet Propulsion Laboratory service proposed to be operated by Glendale Beeline Route 4. Glendale Beeline Route 3 began operating service west and south of JPL April 10, 2000.
  2. Service between Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Pasadena proposed to remain unchanged. It was realigned June 29, 2003 as part of the Metro Gold Line bus/rail interface, then further realigned via the I-210 freeway between JPL and Del Mar Station as Pasadena ARTS Line 50 took over the street routing through the Rose Bowl December 21, 2003. The remaining service has been proposed for transfer to ARTS (see below).
  3. Service between Pasadena and Duarte proposed to be operated by Foothill Transit. Never implemented, because a proposal to do so in 1996 conflicted with the award of contracted service to Charterways; Metro San Gabriel Valley cancelled service east of Sierra Madre Villa Gold Line Station December 18, 2005.
