Line 420 (Panorama City - Hollywood - Downtown L.A. Express)
No changes proposed in original restructuring study.
- The Westside Transit Restructuring Study (completed in June, 1998) called for Line 420 to be replaced by new Line 150 between North Hollywood Station and Hollywood. Not brought forward to the Metro Red Line Bus/Rail Interface plan.
- Extended to Vermont/Santa Monica Station as part of Metro Red Line Bus/Rail Interface June 13, 1999.
- Realigned into North Hollywood Station and renumbered Line 156 as part of Metro Red Line Bus/Rail Interface June 25, 2000.
- Shortened to operate only between Hollywood and Van Nuys as part of Metro Orange Line restructuring October 30, 2005.
- Realigned to Lankershim Blvd. from Vineland Ave. as part of Metro Connections December 17, 2006.
- Owl service renumbered Line 656 as part of Metro Connections December 17, 2006.
- Line 656 cutback to operate only between Panorama City and Hollywood as part of Metro Connections June 24, 2007.
- Proposal to split Line 156 at North Hollywood Station and combine with portions of Lines 163 and 237 under consideration as part of Metro Connections.
