Line 560 (Van Nuys Blvd. - Westwood - LAX Express)
Split of Line 560 proposed, into separate local Line 233 local from Lakeview Terrace to Sherman Oaks and limited/express Line 561 from Sylmar/San Fernando Metrolink Station to Westwood and LAX. Implemented June 25, 1995.
- Originally proposed for realignment in Westwood.
- The Westside Transit Restructuring Study (completed in June, 1998) called for Line 561 to be cutback at Westwood once a transit center was established there; the Mid-Cities Transit Restructuring Study (completed in September, 1998) called for it to be cutback at Fox Hills Mall.
- Line 561 was extended to Aviation/I-105 Green Line Station as part of the Metro Green Line Bus/Rail Interface restructuring August 15, 1995.
- Line 561 was replaced by Line 761 as part of the Metro Rapid expansion program June 29, 2003; service between Westwood and Aviation Station canceled.
