SFVTRS Scorecard

In the 15+ years since the SFVTRS was released, travel patterns have again changed within the San Fernando Valley. Some changes were due to the extension of the Red Line to Universal City and North Hollywood in 2000; further changes came with the opening of the Orange Line busway in 2005. The addition of Metro Rapid service on Ventura Blvd., Van Nuys Blvd., Sepulveda Blvd., San Fernando Rd. and Reseda Blvd. also caused passengers to rethink the way they make connections, and all of these then have had an effect on local service within the Valley.

Gradually, much of the change the SFVTRS brought in 1995 has been reversed, in response to those ongoing changes in passenger travel patterns. We therefore are including a scorecard of the changes that were made and, if the changes have been subsequently undone, when those occurred. We hope the reader will find it interesting!
